We, Consolation Sisters hear the call to act by going out to meet young people and the most disadvantaged to put ourselves at their service.
The pain of Humanity has a name and a face. This is why our social commitment is centered on justice for the poor, peace, and care for our common home, three inseparable realities.
The ethic of care goes from what is more familiar to us to the universal level and is present in all the educational, social, health, and accompaniment apostolic works and presences of the Congregation.
From this commitment emerged the document "The Poor and the earth cry out for Consolation", the fruit of a long process of reflection, deepening, and discernment, which aims to be an awakening of conscience towards an integral conversion and an opening of the heart to the pain of the other, with name and face, feeling it as part of us, as well as to the pain of the planet. Caring for oneself, for others, and the earth is not an option, it is an urgency.
Impelled by the Spirit, we go out to the places where young people are. We want to get close to them to listen to them, to know and understand their desires, their life horizons, their language, and their motivations, to welcome their pain and difficulties, to appreciate their immense riches. We want to accompany them in their search for meaning and maturity, making Jesus Christ known to them.
To do this, we have various projects based on the culture of encounter: workshops, retreats, voluntary work, meetings, youth groups, presence in social networks... Always with an open attitude and ready to travel new paths with them.
