Revealed truth is love,
manifested love is Beauty... (Pavel Florensky)
Under this premise we open the door to a space and a way of living our Christian vocation to Love through Art and Spirituality. This is how we can describe this new experience that promoted by the general government, and sustained and inserted in the province María Rosa will begin its journey on January 30, 2025; having as its headquarters the city of Maracay, specifically within our School La Consolación. A location that will favor the irradiation of beauty also in our educational field... an exchange and a bond that will favor new paths of evangelization.
This January 30th, we will be accompanied by the Bishop of our diocese, Monsignor Enrique Parravano, who has welcomed with joy and hope the proposal offered by the center.
For nine months we have been conditioning the physical space that will host this experience.
Agape will be a space that will favor this process of openness and acceptance of faith from the encounter with art.
Liturgical art, which has its roots in the symbolic spirituality of the first centuries of Christianity and is manifested through a way of making art that favors communion.
We are convinced that, in a world where individualism and egocentrisms prevail, it is vital to offer an art of communion, which favors relationships, bonds, teamwork, openness to the other and to the Other, the ability to listen, interiority, the search for truth, the encounter with the Word, which in turn passes through the encounter with matter. An art that bases its roots in the symbol and that manifests the life of God, an art that connects us with our truth, with who we are as God's people and with what we are called to be. The Agape Center also wants to be a space open to diversity and communion between our sisters and lay people. That is why the center opens its doors to welcome and make life with those people who carry in their heart the concern of living an immersive experience in this way of doing and living the Christian vocation having as a means of expression the liturgical Christian art.
The Agape Center will start its journey in January with two young people from the place who want to start learning the mosaic technique. With them we started this adventure, challenge, challenge and also a great gift.
Little by little the center will be offering space and activities that favor these communion processes.
We are open to requests that come to us from the different centers, either at the level of artistic training or as requests for the renovation of spaces, especially of our places of prayer and encounter with the Lord.
We share the great joy that the Agape center, without having started its formal activities, already has several requests for work on the renovation of liturgical spaces in the central area and in other nearby dioceses. This confirms to us that an art, when it is made from love, can only manifest the life it carries inside and the way through which it was made. Once we come into contact with the Mystery, with the love manifested in Beauty, it is difficult to stop visiting it, because it becomes part of our meaningful memory.
From now on we gratefully welcome this gift that will be the Agape Center. A gift for our Province, Congregation, for the Church.
In communion
