From May 14 to 17, the city of Caracas hosted the Ordinary Elective Assembly of Major Superiors of CONVER 2025, a space for encounter, listening, discernment, and communion for Consecrated Life in Venezuela.
Throughout these four days, Major Superiors, delegates, and representatives from various religious congregations reflected on pastoral challenges, reviewed the statutes, shared insights on the country’s reality, and, guided by the Holy Spirit, elected the new Board of Directors who will lead the mission of Consecrated Life for the upcoming three years.
With great joy, we announce that Sister Verónica María González, NSC, Provincial Superior, has been elected Vice President of the CONVER Board of Directors for the 2025–2028 term, taking on this service of leadership and animation alongside other religious men and women.
The new CONVER Board of Directors is composed of:
-
President: Fr. Juan Yépez, SCJ
-
Vice President: Sr. Verónica María González, NSC
-
First Councilor: Fr. Alfredo Infante, SJ
-
Second Councilor: Sr. Nelly Revilla, IME
-
Third Councilor: Fr. Xulio Ruíz, FMI
We express our deep gratitude to the outgoing Board for their generous and dedicated service, and we lift our prayers for this new team, that they may continue to be a sign of communion, service, and hope for Consecrated Life journeying in Venezuela.
We continue walking together, as sentinels of hope, in service of the Kingdom.
