On Sunday, May 11, within the framework of the 4th Sunday of Easter and the World Day of Prayer for Vocations, we gathered as sisters from the provinces of Latin America to celebrate the gift of our vocation under the motto: “For the Lord, in the brothers”.

We participate sisters from the different communities present in Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Bolivia, Peru, Venezuela, Brazil and Ecuador, connected virtually and united by the same spirit of prayer, fraternity and hope.

This meeting was an enriching and nurturing space for our fraternity and identity as Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation, in the heart of the continent of hope.

The reflection focused on the Gospel of John 10,11-18, where Jesus presents himself as the Good Shepherd. From this text, a space of dialogue and vocational testimony was opened, based on questions such as:

  • What does the staff and rod of the Good Shepherd represent for you in your consecrated life today?

  • What shared tables have strengthened your vocation?

The sisters shared their experiences in a simple, profound and close way, in an atmosphere marked by warmth, empathy and listening. It was a true time of grace and communion , where prayer and the word wove bonds and confirmed the call that each one has received.

We celebrate with joy this instance of encounter that strengthens our being sisters of Consolation, and impels us to continue being sowers of hope in the style of the Good Shepherd.
