From September 19 to 22, the Extraordinary Assembly of the Province of Europe was held at the Motherhouse, under the motto “Console... take care of life”. The meeting was accompanied by Carmen Moreno, General Councilor, sisters and lay people gathered to reflect on how to continue deploying "the relational and prophetic force of the charism in the key of care", according to the message of the XIX General Chapter.
The summoned sisters arrived in Tortosa on September 19. The following day, after the Eucharist, the Assembly began with an initial meeting. During the day, the method of “Generative Conversations” was used, which allowed small communities to reflect on the next steps at the local and provincial level, with special emphasis on Youth Ministry and commitment to the most disadvantaged.
On Saturday, September 21, the Assembly continued with the participation of representatives of various areas of the Consolation Family: education, social and health, communication, Consolation Movement, NGO Delwende, Youth Ministry and Volunteering. These interventions allowed a moment of joint reflection between sisters and laity, contributing to outline the future provincial project.
The day concluded with a round table that made it possible to share what was reflected on in the light of the Word and the first communities of the congregation, reinforcing the sense of communion and shared mission.
The Assembly ended on September 22 with informative sessions on economic and administrative aspects, followed by a closing Eucharist. It closed with a strong call to continue revitalizing the charism of Consolation in the Province of Europe, trusting in the intercession of St. Maria Rosa Molas.
This event has reinforced the commitment of the Consolación Family to live more intensely its evangelizing mission and its care for the neediest, strengthening their journey in communion.
