On May 26, the community of Cebu in the company of the Superior of the Delegation Carmen Villalón Letelier met to read the decree that closed our community.

The meeting began with the singing of the Holy Child as the opening prayer. At the meeting, we shared the history and trajectory of the community thanking the Lord for so well received throughout these years. Then the Superior of the Delegation proceeded to read out the decree of closure of the community.

From the moment the Christian faith arrived in Cebu, Philippines with the Santo Niño, welcomed by the Cebuanos of the first missionaries, the devotion to the Santo Niño was deeply rooted in their beliefs. So Santo Niño is a symbol of the faith of the Cebuanos. Our sisters also started this community by welcoming the Santo Niño and Cebuanos, and now we will say goodbye to them and deliver the fruits we have given in Cebu to places where they are most needed.

We would like to thank all the sisters and the Superior of the Delegation Carmen Villalón Letelier very much for their accompaniment in this special moment with their presence and prayer.
