On September 10 and 11, in São Paulo, the 3rd CRB National Communication Congress was held under the theme “Innovation, Emerging Technologies, Humanities and Communication.”
The María Rosa Molas Province was represented by Sisters Ana Alberca and Yéssica Zapata, members of the Communication team. They participated in this space for formation, reflection, and encounter, focusing on the challenges of communication in digital culture and in the face of advances in Artificial Intelligence.
Throughout the Congress, different specialists addressed issues related to ethics, Artificial Intelligence, institutional identity, digital culture, and human dignity, highlighting the need to use technology without losing sight of what makes us human.
One of the main messages was the invitation to “innovate without dehumanizing.” Technology can facilitate processes and expand our possibilities, but it cannot replace the human capacity to listen, accompany, discern, love, and build relationships.
It was also emphasized that communication is not limited to social media: everything communicates. The way we relate to others, listen, welcome, and remain present is part of our identity and of how we are perceived.
For Consecrated Life, communicating also means listening before telling, walking with people, and putting faces and stories where there are often only numbers or information. Communication is called to foster communion and to convey hope from within concrete realities.
Ana and Yéssica’s participation provided new tools and perspectives to continue strengthening the communication ministry within the Province, placing technology at the service of the mission.
In a world marked by digital transformation, the essential challenge remains: to innovate without dehumanizing, to communicate in order to build communion, and to use technology to care for life.
