With the Holy Spirit, we begin the Pastoral Visit in the Los Andes Province

There are paths that begin long before taking the first step. They begin in prayer, in the desire to find each other, in the confidence of knowing that we do not walk alone.

On the afternoon of Sunday, September 6, the sisters of the communities of the Los Andes Province met virtually to open, as a family, a new time of grace: the Pastoral Visit that our Superior General, M. Loreto Navarrete, will carry out during the months of September to November, approaching the different communities of the Province.

We wanted to begin by placing everything in the hands of the Holy Spirit. M. Loreto invited us to enter into this time with humility and an open heart, asking especially for the gift of discernment, so that we may listen attentively, recognize God's signs in our history, and discover together the new paths along which the Lord continues to call us.

The Word of God illuminated our encounter through the Gospel of Mark (Mark 2:1-12). There we contemplated those men who, moved by faith and sustained by friendship, brought the paralytic to Jesus. An image that resonated deeply in our community: “He looks at me, he saves me…with the help of my brothers and sisters.” We need brothers and sisters who support us, who draw us closer, who help us overcome obstacles, and who make possible the encounter with the One who can transform our lives.

On this journey of our Charismatic Year, we also make a virtual pilgrimage to the Mother House. There, from our roots, from that place that holds the living memory of our history and of Saint Mary Rose Molas, we present to the Lord our communities, our searches, our needs, and our intentions. Like one who returns home to remember where they come from and where they are called to journey, we allow ourselves to be embraced by the history that sustains us.

"To meet and share life, and to seek together these new paths to which the Lord calls us." These words become an invitation today: to truly meet, to listen with our hearts, to share life as it is, and to open ourselves, together, to what God wants to show us.

At the end of the prayer, M. Loreto invited us to pray especially for each of the communities and for this time that we are beginning, entrusting everything to the action of the Holy Spirit.

We said goodbye with the serene joy of those who know that something new is beginning. It was a simple yet profound encounter; a space of communion, fraternity, and hope. And so, as the Los Andes Province, we begin to walk together, trusting that the Lord will open the paths and that, even in this new time, His Spirit will continue to show us where to go.

May He be the one who gathers us together, enlightens us, and guides us. And may we, together, recognize the new paths that spring from His heart.
