On May 14, 2026,the Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation celebrated the 40th anniversary of their mission in Korea.
The Holy Spirit is always powerfully at work and active among us.Forty years ago, the Spirit moved with even greater strength, like a mighty wind.
The charism of Consolation arrived from Europe to Asia, from Spain to Korea, through Sister Matilde Seguí and Sisters Carmen Ros, Ana María Perea, María José Crespo, and María Teresa Collado, by whom its seeds were planted. For the past 40 years, the Holy Spirit has continued to work through the Sisters of Our Lady
of Consolation in Korea. And now, beginning from Korea, this charism of Consolation is spreading throughout various Asian countries — Myanmar, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
Although in our human eyes our efforts may seem small and insufficient, we believe that God looks upon them and surely says, “It is very good.”
Now, as we complete this chapter of 40 years,we plant anew the seeds of Consolation in new soil in Korea. We hope that, in new places as well, the wind of the Holy Spirit will blow again and the charism of Consolation will flourish anew.
With gratitude for our history and the years that have passed, and entrusting our new future to God,we offer prayers of thanksgiving and praise.
