A “yes” that becomes life
On Sunday, October 19, in the Parish of San Pedro de Guarapari (Brazil), the Perpetual Profession of Sister Yessica Yessenia Zapata Leyton , a religious of Our Lady of Consolation, was celebrated with great joy.
The Eucharist , presided over by Friar Francisco José de Cássia, OFM , was a moment of profound gratitude and hope. In his homily, the celebrant reminded the congregation that perpetual vows are an act of love and fidelity, a path of courage and total commitment to God's plan.
The celebration brought together family members, sisters from different communities, and friends from other congregations, united in prayer and joy.
“To be Consolation is to be the living Gospel in the midst of the people,” the friar emphasized.
During the preceding days, the community experienced a Triduum of preparation , marked by prayer, mission and fraternity, sharing the joy of accompanying Sister Yessica in her final surrender.
