“Your Mercy heals me, restores me, and empowers me to bring the Consolation of God to others.”
On Saturday, August 22, Sisters Bernadette Myo Pan and Helen Zin Mar Kyi Lwin made their Perpetual Profession of Vows at Sts. Peter and Paul Parish in Yangon, Myanmar. They are the second group of local Myanmar sisters in the Congregation to make their perpetual profession.
The Holy Eucharistic Celebration began at 9:00 a.m. and was presided over by Bishop Raymond Wai Lin Htun, with Auxiliary Bishop Noel Saw Naw Aye of the Archdiocese of Yangon concelebrating.
On behalf of the Superior General, Sister Carmen Villalón Letelier, the Superior of the Delegation of Asia received their vows before the Church and in the presence of the faithful gathered for the celebration.
The Solemn Mass was attended by priests, religious brothers and sisters, family members, and parishioners.
Rooted in their Charism of Consolation, the newly professed sisters are called to serve as Good Samaritans to those in need, becoming living instruments of God’s Mercy and Consolation.
Through their consecrated lives, they seek to bring God’s healing presence, compassion, and comfort to those they encounter along life’s journey.
