Within the framework of the Charismatic Year , the educational community of the Our Lady of Consolation School of San Juan lived a beautiful experience of solidarity and communion with the Little Cottolengo of Rio Cuarto (Cordoba, Argentina), a work that the Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation accompany with dedication and love.
With the participation of students from the Initial, Primary and Secondary levels, along with their families, teachers and school staff, a solidarity campaign was carried out to collect food, hygiene products and other necessary items for the residents of Cottolengo.
On July 4, the donations were delivered thanks to the generous collaboration of the Font Arbó couple, who carried out the transfer accompanied by Mother Mónica María Vallejo, legal representative and Pastoral coordinator of the school.
The residents of the Little Cottolengo, the staff who serve there, and the sisters of the community received this fraternal gesture with deep joy and gratitude, which demonstrated the closeness of the entire educational community of San Juan.
This initiative reminds us that the charism we received from our Foundress remains alive when we learn to recognize the face of Christ in the most vulnerable and respond with concrete acts of love and service. Each donation was much more than material aid: it was an expression of comfort, fraternity, and hope—signs that strengthen communion among our communities and encourage us to continue being, together, sowers of consolation wherever life needs it most.
We thank all the families, students, teachers, staff, and benefactors who made this campaign possible. May the Lord continue to bless every generous heart that, with simplicity, makes the Gospel a daily reality.
