A VISIT TO BE BORN AGAIN

From February 21 to 26, our community had the immense joy of receiving the Pastoral Visit of the Superior General, Loreto Navarrete and her advisor, Aurelia Maheme.

It has been, we might say, "a visit without suitcases" since the Community lives at the headquarters of the General Government.

The visit began with an “ecological” excursion to the Laudato Si village , located in the Pontifical Villas of Castel Gandolfo where we were able to enjoy, under a radiant sun, the beauty of nature and fraternal sharing; everything invited wonder: a capacity that we must never lose!

The figure of Nicodemus (Jn 3, 1-13), as a person on a journey, has accompanied us in these days, illuminating our reflections, generative conversations and our encounters with the Lord.

  • Nicodemus goes out at night to look for Jesus. What motivates him to go out? What is he looking for?
  • Nicodemus, in his night of darkness, doesn't confine himself to the knowledge of his own culture, but rather seeks. His night leads him to Jesus with a central question: How must I be born again? And even more, into what must I be born again for His glory?
  • These are questions we must always ask ourselves because they demonstrate our desire to grow, renew ourselves, and convert; questions that reveal that we are alive and aware of knowing we are on the path of faith that is born from trust in the Risen Lord.
  • Nicodemus invites us to live by integrating the reality of the night into our lives because it is part of it, whether on a personal, community, ecclesial, congregational and global level.

Thank you Loreto and Aurelia for bringing you even closer to the reality of our community and encouraging us, in this charismatic year, to continue walking together in freedom and simplicity, feeling at home, feeling like sisters.
