Preserving Human Voices and Faces

Our faces and voices, created by God in his image and likeness as a reflection of divine love, are unique, irreplaceable and inimitable.

In a world where digital technology immerses us in a multidimensional reality in which it is each time more difficult to distinguish reality from fiction, preserving human faces and voices means protecting the mark and indelible reflection from God’s love. It means, ultimately, taking care of ourselves.

Faced with the challenge of the advance of IA, when it is not properly managed, Pope Leo XIV advocates guiding it and grounding it in three pillars: responsibility, cooperation and critical education.

We need our face and voice to once again express the person. We need to safeguard the gift of communication as the deepest truth of humanity, towards which all technological innovation must be directed.
