On October 7, the Sisters of the Motherhouse joyfully joined the Jubilee of Consecrated Life, in communion with those celebrating these days in Rome with Pope Leo.
The journey began at the porter’s lodge, continued through the cloister, and crossed our “Holy Door”, reaching the Church. There, before the Mother’s tomb, with candles lit and the Creed on their lips, the Sisters shared a simple, profound moment of faith.

We share below the testimony of Mother Mª Rosa Cerdà:

“On October 6, 7, and 9, the communities of the Motherhouse celebrated the Jubilee of Consecrated Life. We began on the 6th with an afternoon of reflection on the meaning of the Jubilee and its logo, which reminds us to live universal fraternity, anchored in Christ, despite life’s difficulties and turbulence, symbolized by the agitated waves. We ended with dialogue in pairs, the singing of the Magnificat, and the Jubilee prayer.

The next day, we began our pilgrimage toward the Holy Door. We started in the María Teresa González Justo Hall, singing psalms and litanies of the saints as we walked through the prepared spaces. It was a deeply moving moment—some Sisters said they truly felt as if they were in Rome. ‘This is the group that seeks the Lord… that comes into His presence,’ echoed in our hearts.

Before the Mother’s tomb, we lit our candles and, with strong faith, recited the Creed. The song Eres Tú and the Jubilee prayer brought our second day to a close.

Finally, on the 9th, after following the Eucharist broadcast from Rome, and in union with all the consecrated, we renewed our consecration to the Lord.”
