Among the many and varied activities carried out by the local Delegations, to cooperate with the Delwende projects, the Salamanca Delegation wants to share one that is of special interest to us: the Solidarity Market that we started last year and of which we have already completed the third edition. This year, on two spring weekends.
What is the key to your success and the joy it brings us?:
- The donations of many individuals of all kinds of products (clothes, accessories, household items, paintings, books, decorative objects, handmade soap, wines, sausages, merchandising objects, etc.)
- To have a place in the heart of Salamanca, given by the Religious of the Love of God, who have also had all kinds of details with us.
- The invaluable effort of the Delwende Board and the volunteers of our Social Center.
- Visits to the Market by all kinds of people and of all ages and conditions, especially Latin American families living in the city, who benefit from good products at very affordable prices.
- The advertising through posters and social networks and the word of mouth that have contributed to the dissemination of this event and its great results.
- The impressive current of solidarity and empathy that enveloped everything. Many people have met our NGO for this reason and have congratulated us.
- And a long etcetera...
This company is impossible without the work and unconditional dedication of the local Board members and volunteers and other people who have offered their help and who have not spared time or effort to achieve our goals.
We are also glad to know that we are contributing to the environment by giving a second life to so many clothes and objects that would have gone directly to recycling.
It's worth the effort, we were all commenting on Sunday night, forgetting about our own tiredness. And now, to think about the next one!
Thank God and the good people who work selflessly so that the less privileged, near and far, can live a little better.
