The Woman and Mother Project that takes place in the Shelter of the Sisters of Consolation in Linares has been awarded as the best initiative against social exclusion by the Junta de Andalucía in the Meridiana Awards 2024.
The awards ceremony gala will be next March 13th at the Reales Alcázares in Seville.
This award not only gives visibility to this Project Woman and Mother of integral reception, but also to the group that welcomes, women in a situation of social exclusion for so many reasons: migratory processes, victims of gender violence, homelessness ... and with minor children in charge; one of the doubly violated groups with personal stories crossed by suffering and despair more times than perhaps they can bear. This award goes to them, for their courage and their struggle to get ahead together with their children.
