On Saturday, 20 September 2025, in the Chapel of Our Lady of Consolation at the retirement home in Seville, Sister Mª Rosa García Balagué made her perpetual profession.
The celebration of the Eucharist was attended by sisters, residents, family members, workers, volunteers, and friends, and it was a moment of profound gratitude and shared joy among the large Consolation Family gathered there.
‘And he made another vessel, as seemed good to him...’ (Jer 18). In her thanksgiving, Sister Mª Rosa shared: ‘I tried to feel like clay being shaped throughout my existence... sometimes it breaks, it becomes disfigured, but the Potter reshapes it, over and over again, until it becomes a beautiful piece, ready for its mission’.
In his homily, the parish priest encouraged our sister to live her vocation grounded in prayer: "Live hope, spread consolation... Do not forget to carry in your pilgrim's backpack a canteen filled with the life-giving water of prayer... Take a good walking stick for your journey: lean on your community, walk with your sisters, with God and in fraternity."
After the celebration, everyone enjoyed a meal in the gardens of the residence, followed by music and dancing in a festive atmosphere.
We thank God for Maria Rosa's eternal ‘yes,’ and we ask Him to continue to help her live her vocation with love, saying with her life: LIVE! your faith passionately, SPREAD! God's love with hope, and EMBRACE! to heal and console the world.
